-Manage the bug process: Delegate tasks as well as perform the actual investigation and fixing of data task bugs. Liaison with engineering and PM to champion bug fixes and communicate feature enhancement requests.
-Maintain DI machines: Perform maintenance and upgrades to DI computers, including the installation and set-up of software and hardware.
-Administer DI servers including the IDS, Dizilla, and the SFTP.
-Metrics collection & analysis: Monitor and analyze system performance and make recommendations for improvement and scalability. Provide data queries to management.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
-Required: Experience with 3-4 years of Bash scripting on Linux/Unix environments, Perl, SQL and Java.
-Preferred: Experience with Python and PHP and Oracle 10.
-Required: Strong verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain focused. Capable of learning new technical skills quickly and effectively.

Consultant to rewrite the Worldscope datafeed ingestion process. The current process in place is legacy, it goes thru an intermediate Sybase database that delays the data delivery to the strategic fundamentals components by about 24 hrs and also is a maintenance bottleneck. This is an excellent position for a QA Tester of QA Analyst to take a step up in their career. Main task will be to support the development team as they maintain and produce new web application and enterprise applications in a Windows environment.
