You will be responsible for the current management and future strategy of our Market Data Services support and delivery. You will direct the Enterprise Technology's Market Data Services team in leading, identifying, architecting, and resolving technical problems, vendor management, and strategic infrastructure initiatives associated with our Market Data Services delivery.

Reports to: Manager of Market Data Services

Duties/Responsibilities

Engineer, install, configure, and maintain our Market Data environment
Document environments, migration plans, and installation procedures
Provide strategic technical management and support of the vendor network and servers associated with our Market Data Services infrastructure
Project management and direct oversight of the technical Market Data Service team
Planning, validation, implementation, and support of high impact, high company investment, mission critical projects in unstructured environments
Effectively manage internal client needs and expectations, ensuring issues are identified, resolved or escalated quickly and appropriately
Analyze and identify areas of improvement related to technologies that will lead to value added benefit to our Market Data Services infrastructure
Effectively manage the delivery and technical support activities associated with all Market Data Services. This includes the services of several key vendors such as Reuters, Bloomberg, Thompson, Factset, and others
Provide upgrade path recommendations for routers, servers, switches, and vendor provided circuits to improve service levels
Analyze problems, identify the cause of the problem, implement a timely solution, and develop a corrective action plan to eliminate recurrence
Share 24x7 on-call responsibilities

BASIC PURPOSE/FUNCTION:

Enterprise Application Support
Provide support and maintenance for business applications including, Blackberry Enterprise

Oversee the LAN/WAN environment consisting of Blackberry Enterprise Server, RSA, Citrix, VPN, Cisco routers, Cisco switches, and multiple T1 and MPLS circuits. Work with consultants and vendors in the management of PIX firewalls, Symantec Antivirus and Symantec IDS/IPS. 10%

Evaluate and integrate products and functionality that increase overall capabilities or automates manual tasks. Identify best product and practices, make recommendations and plan implementation efforts. Execute service requests; ensuring end user satisfaction and consistently providing service excellence. Oversee virus protection updates, hardware and software warranties, licenses and inventories. Participate in the development, documentation and implementation of monthly metrics tracking and reporting. 10%

Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery
Participate in the formulation and implementation of disaster recovery systems, planning and testing, ensuring efficient recovery strategies are in place. Work to provide increased hi-availability and redundancy of critical corporate resources using technologies that include DoubleTake and VMWare. Support OM and OM affiliate firm's Disaster Recovery operations in Boston and Denver. 5%

Provide technical consultancy to affiliates in a mixed technology environment including, dell, ibm, Sonicwall. Provide technical expertise across various projects interfacing with various groups within the organization. Recommend, size, and configure hardware and software solutions that meet the technology and business needs of affiliate firms. 15%
