Business Analyst

Job Summary:
At Sapient, the Business Analyst develops innovative strategies to improve business performance. This individual will work on a broad range of projects to develop business, operating, and IT strategies. The focus of their work includes:

Business Problem Solving - Take ambiguous and complex business problems and, using research and business assessment capabilities, define the problem, drive innovative ideas, define the opportunity set, and recommend actionable next steps.

Informed Business Decision Making - Bring rigor to a client's decision making process by performing detailed cost/benefit analysis, presenting and evaluating solution options, and driving consensus among key stakeholders. In some instances, we help our clients develop new decision frameworks and governance processes that continue to deliver value far beyond a particular engagement.

Solution Planning - Define, scope and plan new solutions for clients. This includes determining how to measure business results, modeling current/future business processes, gathering business requirements, and identifying the organizational changes required to successfully realize the benefits of the solution.
Responsibilities
Analyze, define, and document business and functional requirements for projects.
Lead clients to understand how current or envisioned processes align to industry best practice
Complete current state analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation
Participate in the system design and system selection processes as voice of business user
Act as a liaison between business and systems during analysis, development and testing phases
Support requirements understanding and issue resolution throughout project life cycle.
Participate in UAT planning & execution
Participate in the creation of project plans and communicate status to all levels of management for medium sized projects
Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
Seek opportunities to provide value-added solutions for business and clients
Some travel to client locations is required.

Job Requirements

Associate 2-5 or Sr. Associate 5-7 years experience in business consulting and client services in areas such as eCommerce, Content Management, Interactive Architecture, Order Management, Call Center (CRM) etc.
Able to analyze business requirements and define solutions to address complex business needs
Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong judgment, issues management, and problem analysis techniques
Strong presentation, facilitation, time management, and prioritization skills
Proven ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
Demonstrated ability to balance priorities on simultaneous projects
Capable of interacting with individuals at all client organizational levels
Experience working in a Globally Distributed Model preferred
Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office tools, Visio, and Project
College degree required
