Senior Associate - Legal
Position Summary
Sapient seeks a talented, business-oriented lawyer to join its global Legal Team in its Boston, Massachusetts headquarters. The person will focus on drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts (including services contracts, licenses and similar documents) with Sapient’s clients, vendors and partners.
This position is available immediately. The ideal candidate will have experience working in – and must thrive on – a fast-paced, fluid and collegial corporate culture. Demonstrated success working in a high-performing, business results-driven legal team and directly advising clients is also a must. Occasional travel within the U.S. and Canada may be required.
The new lawyer will report to a senior lawyer based in Boston, and will work closely with and support multiple members of the Legal Team.
Key Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following and others as assigned:
Review, mark up/draft (from forms and from scratch), negotiate and close commercial contracts, including master services agreements, statements of work, licenses, RFP responses and supporting documents across both of Sapient’s primary business lines (IT services/consulting and advertising/marketing services)
Support other Legal Team members in complex commercial contracting matters
Provide rapid, practical, business-oriented legal/commercial contract advice to other Legal Team members and directly to business clients
Support business clients in negotiating price, deliverables, services scope, warranty and other commercial terms
Apply innovative problem-solving skills and practical business judgment to maximize revenues, minimize risk for Sapient and foster long-term client relationships
Collaborate with and facilitate cross-team decision-making among the Legal Team, Finance Team, business teams and other internal teams
Job Requirements
Education:
J.D. from U.S. law school
Undergraduate degree from college or university
Experience:
1 to 3 years experience in a law firm or large US corporation (experience in a multinational company preferred)
Significant experience negotiating commercial contracts or other experience demonstrating ability to handle complex commercial and legal negotiations
Familiarity with consulting, information technology services and advertising/marketing business and contracts valued
Skills:
Ability to draft and close commercial agreements independently
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including ability to work effectively within a globally distributed team and a fast-paced business environment
Demonstrated ability to think and decide quickly, and to communicate legal issues and solutions clearly and concisely
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including a clear and concise drafting style
Ability to grasp and use finance concepts (such as cash flow, margin analysis, revenue recognition) in contract negotiation

Computer Operator (Night Shift) (25676) in Boston, MA

Job Responsibilities:
The Computer Operator will monitor all platform availability and ensure all Amisys Daily Production is completed as schedule. This includes all FTP processing. They will ensure all Amisys related Special Requests are completed as requested and review daily check off sheets. They may provide guidance, train and audit work of less-senior staff operating the computer system and other peripheral equipment. They manipulate controls to initiate and operate the computer. Monitors and diagnoses on-line system problems via use of various software tools. Initiates corrective action where possible. They compile and maintain reports relative to computer operation as required. Reviews equipment logs and reports on equipment operation efficiency as required. They keep management abreast of the condition of the computer equipment and the adequacy of scheduling. They will be responsible for giving proper turnover to the on-coming shift and shift lead. They insure that problems are identified and followed up until resolved. They will assist in moving hardware in and out of data center, as needed.

**This position’s location will alternate between our Quincy and Boston job sites to start, eventually ending up permanently at one or the other. We are seeking candidates that can work in either location

Job Responsibilities:
The Computer Operator will monitor all platform availability and ensure all Amisys Daily Production is completed as schedule. This includes all FTP processing. They will ensure all Amisys related Special Requests are completed as requested and review daily check off sheets. They may provide guidance, train and audit work of less-senior staff operating the computer system and other peripheral equipment. They manipulate controls to initiate and operate the computer. Monitors and diagnoses on-line system problems via use of various software tools. Initiates corrective action where possible. They compile and maintain reports relative to computer operation as required. Reviews equipment logs and reports on equipment operation efficiency as required. They keep management abreast of the condition of the computer equipment and the adequacy of scheduling. They will be responsible for giving proper turnover to the on-coming shift and shift lead. They insure that problems are identified and followed up until resolved. They will assist in moving hardware in and out of data center, as needed.
Required Skills:
2-5+ years of computer operations experience, preferably with HP/MPE and HP/UNIX backgrounds (but willing to train!)

Job Responsibilities:
The Computer Operator will monitor all platform availability and ensure all Amisys Daily Production is completed as schedule. This includes all FTP processing. They will ensure all Amisys related Special Requests are completed as requested and review daily check off sheets. They may provide guidance, train and audit work of less-senior staff operating the computer system and other peripheral equipment. They manipulate controls to initiate and operate the computer. Monitors and diagnoses on-line system problems via use of various software tools. Initiates corrective action where possible. They compile and maintain reports relative to computer operation as required. Reviews equipment logs and reports on equipment operation efficiency as required. They keep management abreast of the condition of the computer equipment and the adequacy of scheduling. They will be responsible for giving proper turnover to the on-coming shift and shift lead. They insure that problems are identified and followed up until resolved. They will assist in moving hardware in and out of data center, as needed.
Required Skills:

Job Responsibilities:
The Computer Operator will monitor all platform availability and ensure all Amisys Daily Production is completed as schedule. This includes all FTP processing. They will ensure all Amisys related Special Requests are completed as requested and review daily check off sheets. They may provide guidance, train and audit work of less-senior staff operating the computer system and other peripheral equipment. They manipulate controls to initiate and operate the computer. Monitors and diagnoses on-line system problems via use of various software tools. Initiates corrective action where possible. They compile and maintain reports relative to computer operation as required. Reviews equipment logs and reports on equipment operation efficiency as required. They keep management abreast of the condition of the computer equipment and the adequacy of scheduling. They will be responsible for giving proper turnover to the on-coming shift and shift lead. They insure that problems are identified and followed up until resolved. They will assist in moving hardware in and out of data center, as needed.
Required Skills:
2-5+ years of computer operations experience, preferably with HP/MPE and HP/UNIX backgrounds (but willing to train!)

Provide Dell Perot Systems executives, industry leaders and account leaders, as well as customer senior executives with necessary leadership, assistance, guidance and advice to ensure good practices in standard methodologies and processes throughout the engagement.
Serve as business partner in development, sales, service design, existing business growth and delivery of new business for Dell Perot Systems.
Develop strong and positive rapport with key users, particularly CMO, Nursing Information Systems Director, and Director of Pharmacy.
Required Skills:
Senior level Clinical project management experience
Strong customer-facing project management skills (ability to meet schedules and stay within budget, excellent communications at all levels, focus on customer satisfaction)
Strong administrative project management skills (maintaining project schedule, status reports, budget, compliance with project management methodology)
Project management certification (PMP or equivalent)
Desired Skills:
CPOE implementation experience
Ability to effectively manage diverse resources (Dell Perot Systems associates, customer resources, vendor personnel)
Minimum Educational Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
PMP certification strongly preferred
PMI membership and participation
Performer PMQP Certification for Internal candidates required
Master Level PMQP Certification for Internal candidates preferred
