Summary

As a Fixed Income/Derivatives Senior Systems Analyst, you will be the domain expert for fixed income securities/analytics systems. You will be responsible for managing the projects throughout the systems development lifecycle including requirements analysis, functional specifications, systems and integration testing, and documentation. You will also provide ongoing support, problem resolution, and respond to ad hoc requests.

Reports to: Investment Data and Derivative Service Team Leader

Duties/Responsibilities

Partner with the Investment Data and Derivative Service business team to define and document new requirements as they relate to Fixed Income specific initiatives

Champion the user's needs to the software and quality assurance engineers, insuring the "what" and "why" are effectively communicated
Assist in the design, testing, and support of the Fixed Income Analytics application and its integration points

Work collaboratively with Information Services and business teams across Investment Systems, Trading, Compliance, Client Administration, and Infrastructure

Document, track, and research production issues and work with appropriate teams on the resolution

Experience: Required Background/Experience

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Management Information Systems

7+ years experience as a systems or business analyst

Quantitative analysis and research experience within Financial Services or Investment Management

Network Engineer in Boston, MA

Our client is hiring a contract consultant for a short term project.

We are seeking someone who is CISCO certified level engineer to assist with our other consultant (A+ level engineer) at the Installation site.

Experience: The two engineers will un-box the routers and modems at each Installation Site and rack, power up, and cable with Customer provided rack space, power, and cables

We will have to be prepared to perform any troubleshooting necessary as we rack, power up, and cable the 2 new Cisco routers (i.e. the CCNA level engineer will need to have a laptop, console cable, and some sort of network access tool e.g. putty, telnet, secure CRT). The client will open up a conference bridge that the RHI engineers will join during the installations.

Systems Engineer in BOSTON, MA

The Systems Engineer is responsible for ensuring support of VMware ESX Infrastructure and Windows systems, configuring and installing hardware and operating system software components. The incumbent is responsible for assessing and integrating risk management procedures for equipment and systems throughout the enterprise, through the IT operations function. The Systems Engineer interfaces across several channels, and seeks out business, technical, and infrastructure issues, identifying potential areas of risk. The incumbent will have significant exposure to users and interfaces with users, management, and outside vendors.

 Support Windows operating systems, configuring and installing computer hardware and operating system software.
 Tune and validate Windows systems, troubleshooting and resolving problems and outages.
 Work extensively with development staff (all applications), and assist in resolution of hardware/software platform problems in complex, layered, client/server-based software.
 Assign system logon passwords and maintain software logs and system software installation media.
 Provide backups of available servers/software/applications.
 Frequently interact with third-party technology vendors and internal facilities staff.
 Interact with database staff (Oracle Database Administrators and System Programmers).
 Manage electronic messaging and telephony components, as they pertain to the operating systems environment.
 Maintain library of documentation for system software.
 Understand strategic business continuance initiatives as keys to maintaining a high availability of IT services to reduce financial impact of downtime on product/customer cycle.
 Eliminate system downtime, respond to system failures in a timely way and monitor and test contingency planning processes and procedures.
 Anticipate problems and work closely with management to identify areas with risk potential.
 Implement standards and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence in the groups knowledge of and concern for users business needs and the critical nature of seamless IT functioning for internal and external users.

JOB SUMMARY:

The IT Site Support Coordinator has primary responsibility for coordinating the maintenance, provisioning, and repair of PCs and related Site Support assets for their own location.

As well as coordinate all work activities with the team in their location and report to the Desktop Services Supervisor and Manager.

Coordinate inventory levels with the firm Asset Coordinator and fill in as a backup when needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Assist Site Support Specialists with escalated client issues including trouble tickets and systemic problems

· Coordinate day to day activities surrounding tickets, loaner laptops and BBs.

· Coordinate events such as moves, and projects.

· Schedule and coordinate activities relating to the installation, maintenance and day-to-day management of personal computers, and PC-related software and hardware

· Work with the Desktop Engineering, Desktop Support, and User Support teams to assist, diagnose, and resolve software and hardware related problems

· Coordinate the receipt, storage, and disposal of computer hardware with the Asset Coordinator.

· Provide back up support to the Asset coordinator for the firm.

· Collect and log data on support problems, including follow-up until successful completion.

Records all daily support activity in the call tracking system

· Facilitate ticket work with the Site Support Specialists on site.

· Ensure accurate record keeping of all personal computers and related equipment

· Inspect, install, and perform diagnostics and repairs on computers and related equipment

· Coordinate and perform scheduled maintenance checks and equipment moves throughout the firm as needed

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

·High school graduate

·Minimum 5 - 7 years desktop computer systems experience

·Advanced knowledge of PC hardware and desktop operating systems.
