Business Analyst Corporate Applications in Boston, MA

The Corporate Applications Team supports the Finance, Corporate Operations and Human Resources departments in their technology needs, including day to day systems support activities. The team is looking for a temporary business analyst who will help in the day to day support activities, and in the implementation and roll out of new reports and systems enhancements.

Responsibilities
.Provide direct support for production applications. This will require strong ability in creating and analyzing data queries
.Work closely with the development teams on resolving support issues and developing systems enhancements and reports
.Requirements gathering and developing functional specifications
.Maintain Ad-hoc Access Databases
.Perform system and integration testing

Experience: 5-10 years business systems analysis experience with a strong ability to extract and document business requirements and functional specifications.
.Experience with formal QA practices
.Proficient with SQL and relational databases
.Excellent written and verbal communications skills
.Strong client service skills
.Self-motivated and willing to work in a fast paced team environment
.Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
.Experience working in iterative development environments is desirable
.This individual will be mostly working on support issues, reports, enhancements and Data feeds related to our revenue, proxy voting, BCP and human resources applications. Therefore, experience in finance, corporate operations and human resources functions is a strong plus

Job Title: IT Windows Administrator

The IT Windows Administrator will be a part of the global IT Infrastructure Server Team responsible for the corporate Windows environment. This role will be a very visible position and will be integral to operations within Sapient.

The IT Infrastructure Windows Team is responsible for maintaining, securing, recovering, and supporting the global Windows environment - including Active Directory 2003, Windows servers, Windows Security, SMS 2003, SCOM 2007, patching via Microsoft WSUS, Windows desktop imaging, etc., helping development teams to architect their development environments, supporting general Windows issues, and acting as technical gurus for the other IT teams on Windows issues from a network, hardware, operating system, or application standpoint.

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

Strong understanding of Windows NT 4.0, Windows XP Professional, Windows2000, and Windows2003 (familiarity for Unix operating systems is a plus)
o Should have performed hands-on server management for more than 1 year
Solid understanding of Windows2000/2003 Active Directory
o At least some hands-on work with Active Directory
o Should have familiarity with custom OUs and/or Containers, permissions, and GPOs
Familiarity with Microsoft SMS a plus
Strong understanding of Windows networking in an enterprise environment
Fundamental understanding of Windows security from a LAN, WAN, and DMZ perspective
Good understanding of server hardware, particularly Compaq/HP hardware
Strong inter-personal and communication skills
Strong independent problem solving skills
Scripting abilities are a big plus (VB, WSH, WMI, etc.)
Solid understanding of patch management best practices (Microsoft Software Update Services, patch testing, software deployment, etc.)
