System Administrator Analyst ( File / Print ) in Boston, MA

This position includes, but not limited to, performing installations of servers, customization and maintenance of the operating system, on-site break fix for the servers and systems software products in support of business processing requirements. Performs system software installations and upgrades system software changes. Tests software updates and patches. Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels. Conducts system analysis, process change management and recommendations for possible improvements of operating system software. Provides in-depth diagnosis for operation systems software/hardware failures, develops solutions and documents resolution for each trouble ticket event. Ensures server data integrity through evaluation, implementation and management of appropriate software and hardware solutions. Ensures all system backup procedures and directs recovery operations in the event of destruction of all or part of the operating system or other system components. Provides technical assistance for users on system functions including application of system features. Monitor, manage and forecast disk space utilization on all responsible servers for capacity planning. Engineer will also be responsible for Network Printer Management to ensure all printers within the Managed Print environment are working properly.

Maintain back-end Windows infrastructure including AD, Exchange, file/print servers, backups, and supporting services.
Provide 2nd level support for issues escalated from the Corporate IT Helpdesk.
Contribute toward internal IT projects to support company objectives.
Documentation of operational procedures
Participates in IMAC of equipment (new system deployment and system upgrades to keep the server environment stable and interruptions to a minimum).
Performs a variety of maintenance tasks associated with the support, modification, and updating of the hardware and software systems to include system software installations, upgrades, tests, troubleshooting and fixes
May perform other support activities to help ensure consistent performance of the operating and hardware systems
Provides diagnosis for operating systems software/hardware failures and develops solutions.
Escalate to 3rd level support where appropriate
24 x 7 on call availability

 Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast paced production environment
 Strong knowledge of Exchange 2007

JOB DESCRIPTION
3 Month Contract

Test Automation Engineer responsible for designing, scripting, executing and analyzing enterprise volume and performance tests. Able to coordinate / lead diverse teams of technical resources when conducting database, web - application servers tuning / baselining initiatives. Able to create scripts in a variety of ways - using tools (e.g. hp (Mercury) Loadrunner - QTP, UNIX scripts, etc. Responsible for volume and performance testing at the application and enterprise level.

- Prepare Automation Test Plans and Test Cases
- Interpret application architectures and identify transactions for measurement consideration
- Know what constitutes volume - performance requirements and what to do in the absence of them
- Proficiency with hp (mercury) tools - LoadRunner, QTP, Winrunner, Test Director and Quality Center
- Good working knowledge of volume and performance tools and understand which to apply for a given situation
- Creation of test data needed for testing
- Ability to develop custom tools as needed
- Good communication skills
- Good leadership skills
- Ability to setup and absorb dynamic monitoring tool statistics
- Willing to perform manual testing

Required:
- 3 - 5 years of solid experience developing Loadrunner automation scripts
- Mercury automation tools to include: Loadrunner, QTP and Winrunner
- Good working knowledge of UNIX
- Good working knowledge of SQL
- UNIX scripting
- Good technical experience to include a variety of architectures (e.g. UNIX, Windows, .net, etc.)
- Ability to design and build test automation frameworks
- Mercury tools administrator responsible for tool installation, updates and customization
- Worked as a lead in enterprise volume and performance testing
- Have lead a volume and performance team
- Must have hands-on experience developing automation scripts

Preferred:
- Experience using Mercury Quality Center / Test Director
- SAP experience
- Experience with volume and performance testing SAP
- Computer Science Degree

Description:

Reporting to the ACS Program Manager supporting our client, the Business Analyst will be responsible for:

Provision of direct client support for parking and moving violation Information Technology services to several clients. Responsibilities include: provide operational analysis & support of the contracts, including oversight responsibility for the data entry and mailhouse subcontractor functions as they relate to these contracts. Ensure all processes are efficient and effective in producing optimum output and meeting contractual compliance. Ensure all clients are satisfied with contract performance and project management.

Responsible for ensuring that the client's operations are accurate, compliant, timely and cost-effective/efficient. Provide for the completion of operational functions, including:
1) Ensure the daily activities of the data entry and lockbox operations are compliant with quality standards and contractual requirements.
2) Attend client meetings to define the resources necessary to provide customer service excellence.
3) Analyze and provide feedback on quantity and quality of work produced by subcontract staff.
4) Coordinate the operational, contractual, and public relations aspects for all project activities, including implementations.
5) Ensure all operations are in compliance with the department standards, requirements, and performance metrics.
6) Complete an annual performance report for clients.
7) Be a subject matter expert in our eTIMSsm parking/ moving violations system.
8) Develop detailed system documentation and provide system training on new initiatives.
9) Coordinate with outside groups including IT Services to ensure all issues are addressed.

Education and Typical Years of Experience:

BSBA degree plus min 2+ yrs strong computer/ financial experience. Proficiency w/ MS Office Suite plus Access. Must have strong interpersonal skills, plus excellent verbal and written business communication skills to interact with our clients and provide excellent service.
