Software Engineer- Siebel in Boston, MA

Summary:
The Siebel Software Engineer is responsible the design, development/configuration and unit testing of the Siebel Application, application interfaces, data conversions and report development. This individual will also be responsible for all enhancement development, new development, new module configuration/customization and assistance with scheduled application code upgrades/patches to Siebel and other integrated application software.

Responsibilities:
. Contribute to and author design & development specification documents
. Assist in defining project development strategies, estimates & timelines
. Communicate and apply industry standards for configuration and development on SFA systems and adhere to the client's technical standards and supported version control.
. Build and demo proof-of-concept prototypes to team members and business users
. Recommend, compare & contrast multiple solutions using standard toolsets and methods
. Collaborate with other developers, internal IT organization personnel/team leads, and external vendor consultants towards completion of configuration, development, & unit testing
. Participate in ongoing support and maintenance of the system by provide 3rd level support as needed
. Provide regular status reports on development progress and issues to team and/or technical leads
. Responsible for the programmatic configuration and customizations to support integration with 3rd party content feeds and/or applications and integration with current/future enterprise/divisional systems
. Develop, test & maintain custom interfaces between CRM applications and other 3rd party and the client's business unit and enterprise backend systems.
. Responsible for all enhancements, new development, configuration/customization of interfaces, data conversion and assist in data cleansing
. Develop ability to extend and customize 3rd party SFA applications through industry standard toolsets to meet specific business requirements

Experience: Required Skills:
. 2 years experience with full-cycle software development
. 6 months experience configuring and/or developing with 3rd party Sales Force Automation tools
o Specific Siebel knowledge and experience with Siebel 7.x implementation experience utilizing Siebel Tools a plus

. Java/J2EE, JSP, Visual Basic, Relational databases (Oracle, SQL), HTML, NT, Unix, MQ Series (or other middleware technology), Firewall technologies and data cleansing tools. Siebel Workflow Manager, Siebel Assignment Manager, Escript, Siebel Tools, Smart Scripting, Actuate, Business Objects - Crystal Reports Version X or higher
