Duties and Responsibilities:

The backup/restore responsibilities of this role involve to the execution of enterprise tape backup/restore operations, support, and trouble resolution of the tape automated system. This position is responsible for the execution and monitoring of automated and/or manual tape backup and data restorations using Veritas Netbackup software. Functional activities include starting and ensuring success of scheduled backup jobs, trouble resolution of failed backup jobs and restoration of data as required as well as rotating tapes off site for secure storage.

The facilities coordination responsibilities of this role involve collaborating with representatives from the Facilities department regarding climate control, power management, and physical access. The engineer will provide capacity planning data to colleagues and management for periodic reports on power, cooling, and space utilization. The engineer will also provide pro-active monitoring of facilities thresholds. The engineer must be cognizant of and observe industry safety practices and Millennium procedures.

The change and configuration management responsibilities of this role involve collaborating with other IT functional groups and engineers on the execution and documentation of maintenance activities, resolution of relevant service interruptions, and implementation of new systems. The engineer will maintain the inventory of all installed computing components in the data center. The engineer coordinates and schedules planned facilities activities.

It is important for the engineer to keep colleagues and management aware of data center concerns and work with the appropriate constituents to anticipate needs and recommend solutions. The Data Center Operations Engineer must be available to respond to site emergencies in an on-call basis. Additionally the engineer must be available during scheduled maintenance events. The engineer will work on other projects and assignments as operational demands change.

Sr. Technology Risk Analyst in Boston, MA

The Technical Security Risk Analyst is responsible for coordinating, managing and controlling assigned audit, client and risk projects. In addition, the Technical Security Risk Analyst is responsible for assisting management with the development, implementation and execution of appropriate management action plans to address and resolve any noted control issues during the project. Also, the Technical Security Risk Analyst is responsible for tracking and reporting the resolution status of any control issues on a monthly basis.

This position reports to the Vice President, Technology Audit Services.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred

4+ years experience related to information security, technology audit or risk management
Thorough understanding of information security concepts and methodology
Thorough understanding of the software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning
Ability to analyze technology risks (security, availability, capability, efficiency and integrity) and provide recommendations to enhance the control procedures
Ability to interact with cross-functional teams in a dynamically changing, customer-based record keeping environment
Demonstrate leadership skills such as the ability to get things done; taking initiative to identify service enhancements or process improvements; demonstrates confidence in building a case with a successful outcome; and proven ability and success in identifying issue(s), identifying solution(s) and determining and acting on the best solution.
Demonstrate and practice strong and effective written and oral communication skills.
Provide assistance to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions.
Plan, organize and lead meetings at the tactical level.
Project management skills; have the ability to initiate and maintain overall accountability for risk and control-specific initiatives and projects

Experience: Relevant skills/experience

A minimum of two years of experience in conducting IT audits using tools such as Qualys, Appscan, Spi Dynamics, and open source security toolsets;
Strong subject matter expertise in computer operations and/or computer application development is necessary;
In-depth knowledge of operating systems, networks and programming languages, application servers and database technology is desirable.
Industry certifications like CISSP, GSEC, CSIM, GIAC, CISA (or similar) is desirable, although not a requirement.
Familiarity with regulatory guidelines such as Sarbanes Oxley and SAS70.
Demonstrated experience in managing projects, staff and consultants.
Writing and documentation skills are a must.

Responsibilities:

. Reporting to the Director of Implementation, the Implementation Consultant will be responsible for the following:
o Initiate contact and establish solid relationships with new customers in order to create the foundation for a seamless transition from point of sale to successful product implementation and support.
o Partner with individual clients to identify key business objectives and define how we can help achieve them.
o Discuss, define and coordinate reasonable implementation schedules for individual clients.

Requirements Skills and Experience:

Our Boston and Framingham based clients have an immediate need for Microsoft Certified System Engineers to do onsite installations and support For this position, an MSCE (2000 or 2003) and prior consulting experience (or an incredible personality) is strongly desired. This role will encompass systems engineering and you will also be making pre-sales recommendations. This is a great opportunity. The other client is located in Framingham but their clients are also located in Boston and your day would start and end in Boston. One client is looking for up to four senior engineers and the other client is looking for mid level people.
