Update: 8/11/06 - preference for customer tech support manager whose background includes running a Class A hosting facility, preferably an ASP solution.

Well-funded, well-organized, growing software company provides Financial Services Investment firms with Windows-based software solutions. This start-up was spun off from an established software and services company.

The primary focus of this position is management of a small group providing Customer Technical Support to external customers, and a secondary focus is the management of a very small one-engineer internal NOC and managing the relationship with an outsourcer for this partially outsourced NOC. This manager takes escalated and "hot" customer issues from support staff.

Most customer issues are resolved by remote login so this has some similarity to a production environment rather than a call center, but experience supporting external customers is required.

REQUIRES:

- hands-on technical in Windows-based software support environment.

- an experienced Manager / Director Customer Technical Support

- experience running a Class A hosting facility, preferably an ASP solution

PLUSES:

- strong preference for Financial Services software / Investment industry background

- knowledge of FIX protocol is ideal
