Telecommunications Engineer for LARGE Call Centers in Boston, MA

The Call Center Engineering group provides technology services and solutions for numerous business units for our client, a very large and well-known Investments Brokerage. The Call Center Engineering group helps to design call centers solutions and maintains the integrity of the existing infrastructure. Call center engineers work with vendors and business partners to collect requirements and implement technologies that are innovative and cost efficient. The Call Center engineer will be assigned tasks and or projects with specific deadlines. The engineer will follow specific rules around a change management process that will require documentation and notification of completed changes. In some cases, the role will require recommendations on design and implementation with the business unit. Strong knowledge of the workings of call centers will be required to understand the ultimate engineering strategies involved in our client's network. * As strong knowledge of either or both Aspect and Avaya platforms. * Minimum of five years of dealing with installation or maintenance of either Aspect or Avaya switches for call center environments. * Experience assigning 800 Services. * Experience in installing inbound AT&T trunks to either Aspect or Avaya platforms. * Knowledge of Cisco ICM. Strong knowledge of the following is desired: * Telecom networking such as TCP/IP, VOIP, SIP, QOS, XML. * Operating systems such as XP, Linux, NT. * Application protocols like HTTP and Telnet. * VRU/IVR and ICM protocols. * Experience with both Avaya or Aspect ACDs and Cisco ICM/CTI solutions. * Basic infrastructure knowledge-T1, DS3, OC3 connectivity and integration. * Integration on workforce management systems with telecom infrastructures to deliver reporting tools to business clients. * CRM solutions and their relationship with all of the above technologies.
