Concept Phase:

Analysis Phase:
In the Analysis Phase, the OA is the technical leader during early design and vendor product analysis. The OA will ensure that logging complies with established standards around level of detail, format and location. The OA will also be responsible to demonstrate how the requirements will enable proactive monitoring and support efficient problem resolution of application architecture.

Design:
In the Design Phase, the OA works with departments and COTS vendors to establish a solutions architecture model, gathers availability requirements and loops in necessary SMEs such as the Security team, System Engineers, Network Engineers, SAN engineers, etc. The OA also ensures that the initial design adheres to the operational requirements established in the previous phase. The OA will also review the design with the application teams to ensure the design provides the appropriate monitoring based on the physical deployment and runtime system interactions. The output mid-way through this phase is a physical topology diagram of all relevant product solutions and environments.

Development:
In the Development Phase, the OA works with the relevant and COTS teams to validate assumptions related to the solutions architecture model and performance. The OA reviews the system designs in detail with the impacted operations and application teams. Also during this phase, the OA facilitates technical reviews with the participating teams to ensure all parties are adhering to the architecture.

Testing:
In the Testing Phase, the OA reviews test cases and test data. These results are used to validate the design against the requirements established in the initial phases. The OA is the SME for the infrastructure and helps identify any design performance/availability issues. The OA works with all departments to address infrastructure gaps found during testing. The output of this phase is the operations plan describing how the operational support groups should be operating in collaboration with the applications and OSS architecture.

Implementation:
In the Implementation Phase, the OA works with the operational support groups to do last minute checks to ensure all components are available and functioning as designed (connectivity between systems, port definitions, etc). Monitoring is also verified that it is deployed appropriate to support the applications architecture. The OA is also an escalation point for Infrastructure-level questions and issues.

Testing:

Concept Phase:

Analysis Phase:
In the Analysis Phase, the OA is the technical leader during early design and vendor product analysis. At this phase, the OA defines/enforces initial requirements for security, maintainability, monitoring, data retention, scalability, reporting and performance. The OA will ensure that logging complies with established standards around level of detail, format and location. The OA will also be responsible to demonstrate how the requirements will enable proactive monitoring and support efficient problem resolution of application architecture.

Design:
In the Design Phase, the OA works with departments and COTS vendors to establish a solutions architecture model, gathers availability requirements and loops in necessary SMEs such as the Security team, System Engineers, Network Engineers, SAN engineers, etc. The OA also ensures that the initial design adheres to the operational requirements established in the previous phase. The OA will also review the design with the application teams to ensure the design provides the appropriate monitoring based on the physical deployment and runtime system interactions. The output mid-way through this phase is a physical topology diagram of all relevant product solutions and environments.

Development:
In the Development Phase, the OA works with the relevant and COTS teams to validate assumptions related to the solutions architecture model and performance. The OA reviews the system designs in detail with the impacted operations and application teams. Also during this phase, the OA facilitates technical reviews with the participating teams to ensure all parties are adhering to the architecture.

Testing:
In the Testing Phase, the OA reviews test cases and test data. These results are used to validate the design against the requirements established in the initial phases. The OA is the SME for the infrastructure and helps identify any design performance/availability issues. The OA works with all departments to address infrastructure gaps found during testing. The output of this phase is the operations plan describing how the operational support groups should be operating in collaboration with the applications and OSS architecture.

Implementation:
