This position will be part of a team of 5 working to support multi-platform, multi-site, 24x7 environments that includes telephone, database, web, and application services.     Responsibilities include day-to-day desktop and network support, installation and configuration and monitoring desktops, and fundamental network/server administration and support.

    Experience:
    Candidates with 0-1 year of support experience through classroom or business in a multi-server and desktop support environment. Proficient working knowledge of Windows 2000/XP as well as networking and troubleshooting (e.g., break fixes of desktops. printers, Windows XP) experience required. Knowledge of physical, system, network and data security tools needed. Experience providing desktop support to non-technical users of Microsoft Office and other business applications preferred. Candidates must have demonstrated knowledge of key networking protocols.

    Experience with Bloomberg, Reuters, Factset, Trading Applications and Functions helpful. Blackberry and Palm devices, Cisco Ip Phone, Cisco routers, switches and firewalls and software back-up is desirable.

    A Bachelor's degree in a relevant degree or equivalent hands-on experience required. Individuals must be detailed-oriented, an independent problem solver, multi-tasker who can work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
