One of my client's in Boston is looking for a .NET Testing Lead Consultant for a 9+ month project. The primary part of the project is to be a Technical Lead (75%) and the other is Technical and Test Support (25%):
Responsibilities:
. Drive the process, knows Web development best practices, sit in on code reviews and design reviews, insure knowledge transfer from the vendors development and my client. See that the system is supportable.
. Should understand the plan and manage and report development deliverables. Work with the client's infrastructure to build out to support the new system. Bridge the gap between the development and infrastructure plans. Will help plan and drive the process.
. Code reviews, create SQL to pull records, knows .NET Web development best practices to insure a supportable solution, documented knowledge transfer
This person needs to cover two projects. The key functions that need to be covered follow:
New Business Processing:
Testing support:
. This project is using an external vendor to develop a system that takes in feeds from industry standard sources. The testing required is to validate that all the transactions are being pulled in and processed correctly. We have a team of people executing the testing but will need someone with good data analysis and SQL skills to support this testing. Understanding what they are trying to validate, researching the database to figure out how to create SQL to pull records out for test verification. Data is stored in a SQL Server database.
Tech Lead:
. This project is building a new producer Web portal. We will be utilizing an external vendor to execute the construction in a .NET/SQL Server and Ektron (CMS) tool set. I need a Tech Lead to help provide oversight to planning, design and coding activities. The role will need to build a virtual team with this vendor and ensure development deliverables are managed thru to delivery. I need this person to also play watchdog for HOW this site is build to ensure that we receive a supportable solution for my team to pick up for on-going support. Coordinate infrastructure build out with our internal infrastructure team to support development, test, staging and production environments. Define process to accept code from the vendor and version control internally. We use ClearCase for source control but this system will include database and non-code objects that need to be managed and deployed.
