Manager of Information Technology in BOSTON, MA

Performs any function necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of customer service and responsiveness to the financial needs of diverse individuals, families, businesses and organizations served by the Bank. Plans, coordinates and directs the daily activities of Information Technology Department. Ensures the efficient and optimal delivery of services by assigned staff. Provides ongoing training, development, counseling and motivation as needed. Conducts periodic performance reviews and makes hiring, promotional, salary and termination recommendations. Provides technical support for all Bank systems and services, including the core application system. Provides project management where necessary. Maintain the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers, management of related vendors and ensures a fully integrated system. Ensures system integrity in accordance with Bank policy. Develops and documents standards, policies and procedures to ensure optimal operational workflow efficiency, system security and protection of customer information. Evaluates, implements and revises policies and/or procedures for supported systems and services. Develops controls as required. Reviews periodic reports to ensure full compliance and control and ongoing departmental statistical reporting. Prepares and monitors the annual operating budget for income, expense and growth. Keeps abreast of regulatory compliance and developments for assigned area and apprises staff of same. Recommends procedural changes as needed to support prescribed requirements. Performs other duties as may be assigned or required. Employees are expected to be familiar with and to fulfill the compliance requirements within their area of responsibility. Experience: Position Requirements Associates degree or its equivalent in specialized course work and training. Five to seven years information technology and bank operations experience. Strong interpersonal, organizational, managerial, and analytical skills. Knowledge of various operating software programs and systems. Knowledge of information technology regulatory requirements. Physical Demands/Conditions Requirements: Travel may be required to other locations and employee must be able to work irregular schedules to meet the needs of the Bank, which may include early morning, evening and/or weekend hours. General office environment and use of regular office equipment.
