Technical Architect in Boston, MA

You would be a Technical Architect for a content and document management software company here in Boston. It involves 50% travel on an expense account. They have projects starting in Vancouver, Portland, OR, and Chicago in the next 3 weeks. I used to travel as a consultant and it was the best time of my life...living on an expense account and banking the money I made. I miss it. They have a large client base in Great Britain.ResponsibilitiesThe role of the Technical Architect is to architect and design the technical solution for our clients, integrating all necessary functionality. Technical Architects work closely with our Technical Consultants and client project teams to lead client-focused whiteboard sessions, gather requirements, and design these solutions. This is will be a very hands-on role.You will be expected to:. Master and maintain an excellent knowledge of our solutions and core capabilities. Participate in the full software lifecycle. Take responsibility and ownership of tasks within the project plan. Be self-directed - can work both on-site with the client project team, as well as externallyRequirements. Computer science background - with emphasis on programming. 4 - 5 years experience. Self motivated and good team player. Strong written and oral communication skills.
