Oracle DBA in Boston, MA

Our client is looking to obtain a solid Oracle DBA with at least 2-3 years experience working in an SAP environment. The initial contract duration will be for 3 months and likely to extend well beyond.Please be sure you meet the following requirement standards before applying: Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain Oracle products, including client and server software. Implement and verify backup and recovery procedures. Review new features related to systems, and advise technical staff on issues. Identify the need for upgrades and patches, and implementations. Create, maintain, and refreshe database for production, test, development, and sandbox environments. Monitors system performance, and resource utilization. Maintains security controls for databases. Implements disaster recovery and failover plans. Requirements Minimum 5-7 years of senior-level database administration and support experience using Oracle 9i and 10g. SQL Server (2000 through 2008) RMAN Oracle partitioning TOAD Space Manager and performing online SQL tuning skills in-depth knowledge of database internals and data structures Strong SAP experience including BASIS Scripting skills in PERL Prior experience working with Linux and Windows Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a fast-paced technical team To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
