Finance Industry background is strongly desired Job Description Scope of Position: The Quality Assurance Performance Engineer will be involved in creating and executing complex test plans and working interactively with Product Development and Product Management to improve the quality of the products. The ideal candidate must have a solid grasp of the product life cycle - from initial marketing requirements through development, testing, and deployment. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively participate in cross-functional meetings, clearly articulate project risk and provide concise recommendations to Development and Product Management. The QA Engineer will also be expected to bring a breadth of QA experience and best practices to the company. Main Responsibilities: Utilize performance and load testing methodologies to improve and measure product quality by identifying potential bottlenecks and system performance problems. Develop test scripts to properly load/stress the system in a lab environment, and monitor, debug performance, and stability problems. Partner with the software development organization, technical operations to analyze system components, and performance to identify needed changes in the application design & production environment. Forecast and project system load levels, and determine load/stress test methods to test the system to projected load levels. Required Skills: Extensive knowledge and experience with performance testing and methodologies using automated testing tools is an absolute must. Knowledge of Mercurys Load Runner, HP Performance Center. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, team-building attitude (be able to provide technical help to other members of the performance team and to projects under test). Additional experience in the performing of stress testing on Web based applications and thorough knowledge of Web based architecture is necessary. Must have strong written and oral communication skills (be able to work with representatives from different functional groups. Should be able to quickly assess requirements of a project, set performance goals and assess the scope of a project). Must have experience in analyzing performance test data. Must have experience in reporting test results to different functional groups and external and internal clients. Some travel may be required. 5 years experience in Quality Assurance with solid knowledge of the industry standard processes, protocols, tools and methodologies. 2 years experience of hands-on Scripting experience with Mercury Load Runner Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field or equivalent industry experience Performance Application certification is a plus.
