As the Network Administrator, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to computer system users, with a focus on network operations, workstation support, and non-workstation peripherals. You will also answer questions or resolve network problems for clients in person, via telephone, or from remote locations.This critical role is the 2nd tier escalation point for all security, network and telephony related users for the IT Services & Support Team. Responsibilities:Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating system configuration, or applicable 3rd party softwareAnswer inquiries regarding network performance and operation to resolve problemsEnter commands on a variety of hardware and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errorsInstall and perform minor repairs to network hardware, software, or peripheral equipment following design or installation specificationsMaintain record of work, projects and change control using the IT Ticketing systemUnder supervision of Senior IT Staff, assist in the management of security equipment and services, including firewalls, network equipment and 3rd party servicesRead technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and supportRefer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for serviceRequirements:Training in vocational school, related on-the-job experience, or an associate's degree or 3-5 years of related work experienceKnowledge of TCP/IP, networking, security, hardware and software related to network administrationKnowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal servicesStrong telephone and interpersonal communication skills requiredAbility to use and maintain computer systems and network equipmentKnowledge of open source software, quality assurance and project management will be advantageous for this role, but are not required Qualified candidates may submit their resume, including salary requirements, to our recruiting team at .
