71997 eCommerce Software Solution Implementation Engineer

Very hot ecommerce web site optimization software and testing solutions company with a product that enables marketers and business people to run tests on website and improve marketing effectiveness and customer access without involving IT resources, available both in hosted and installed versions.

This Implementation Engineer will become the companys technical expert for this ecommerce web product, configuring and maintaining this e-commerce software solution. Work closely with engineering to identify, plan, architect and ultimately deliver web technology solutions, and provide pre- and post-sale support of customers and sales department. Support sales in demonstrations, pilot projects with new customers, and being the technical resource helping sales answer the technical side questions necessary to close deals.


Available as a hosted or installed system, this software solution requires knowledge in:

- Unix/Linux systems management, DNS, networking and load balancing, HTTP protocols;

- Database and Web server configuration, tuning and administration skills and Unix, Perl, or Python scripting skills are important.

- Experience with both technical and business customers and ability to work the full cycle from pre-sale through implementation and go-live, to post-sale support and handoff to tech support.

- Requires four-year degree.
A great plus is to also have software development skills and be able to contribute to ongoing development of tools for build/configuration management and system monitoring.
Unusually light travel for an implementation role about 10%.
