Sales Executive in Boston, MA


Our client is seeking a Sales Executive for their networked multimedia asset management software solutions in the Boston Area.

Description:

Key role will entail identifying and developing new direct and channels account sales leads, managing current accounts and channels, and generating new ones that will significantly grow client's business in the following industries among others:
Corporate training and distance/eLearning for major corporations, including financial, insurance, healthcare and others.
Advertising agencies
Colleges, universities and other major cultural institutions
Libraries
Digital archives
Broadcast and cable television
Post Production
Medical archives
Responsible for direct and alliance selling - through direct book of business and partnerships - of client solutions and related products and services, meeting specific quotas
Ensure that sales forecasts are met or exceeded and operational budgets are managed for his/her regional area, as well as engaging in other national or international activities as required.
Plan sales strategies designed to achieve the highest revenue in the shortest time frame
Engage all company business unit executives in the development of new partnerships and alliances that will enhance the client's brand awareness and increase sales
Collaborate with others: setting objectives, coaching/mentoring, skill development; including internal sales, business development, and IT sales support staff, as well as external contractors
Provide feedback to product development, management and marketing teams regarding competitive information that will aid in the development of new plans and strategies to stay ahead of the marketplace
Requirements
Candidate should possess a minimum of 5 year experience or 5 years experience as a Sales Manager or Managing Solution Sales Consultant preferably in high tech areas of enterprise application software, general IT, system integration, with a knowledge and understanding of media technology products, such as media asset management, media production, playout/distribution, ingest/digitization.
Experience in selling software and multimedia products to various markets inside and outside (the latter particularly helpful) the traditional broadcast and media production industry
Superior sales closing skills and ability to pass this knowledge on to others in the organization and contract-based business developers
Experience in identifying, developing and managing new markets to achieve and overachieve on defined company objectives
Success at identifying and building new channels of distribution for the sale of the company's products and related services
Superior oral and written communication skills and relationship management abilities, including exceptional presentation skills
Excellent leadership, training and team building skills
Strong proposal-writing skills, especially system diagram and solution architecture
Four year degree from an accredited university required
MBA or equivalent practical experience desired
Experience in a "Big Five" or equivalent consulting organization, leading enterprise software company, or top media/video production solution provider - particularly focused on software-based non-linear editing, digital asset management, playout/publishing, and other related tools is a plus
P&L experience a significant plus
