KENDA Systems is assiting our client in their search for a Senior Enterprise Software Engineer to help Air Force organizations leverage the Air force's Global Combat Support System (GCSS) enterprise integration infrastructure (web portal, data warehousing , security, business intelligence and EAI technology ) to provide program's a simpler, faster, standards-based way to integrate and share information with improved IT responsiveness and technology asset reuse.

Responsibilities:
* Provide the technical integration expertise and understanding of GCSS to help programs define requirements and specifications for integration.
* Work with prospective program managers and technical engineering teams to clearly describe features and functionality of the GCSS enterprise environment.
* Help programs navigate through the GCSS integration process through presentations, product demonstrations and technical workshops.
* Ensure that the solutions/strategies delivered by the GCSS team deliver business benefit, through understanding and meeting of the program's detailed service requirements ensuring technical standards are adhered to or developed by project in each domain.
* Ensure, new & current, projects adhere to GCSS Enterprise Application Integration platform development processes, architectural guidelines and testing standards for domains established by appropriate architectural functions.
* Ensure that all projects (in any stage) can co-exist from a technical, physical, architectural, functional perspective
* Develop Proof-of-Concept (PoC) components that might add value to the integration process.
* Analyze current performance and security issues and recommend options
* Work effectively in a team environment consisting of project leads,
technical leads, developers, contractors, and users
* Participate in program Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) as they begin
technical refreshes and look to integrate with GCSS
Software Engineering or a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 7 years
software engineering experience with at least 2 years designing,
developing and deploying large scale service oriented enterprise
systems where responsibilities and experience include:
* Leading other developers, owning technical design, setting technical
direction, and owning day-to-day operational stability and performance
of interfaces.
* The ability to dissect multiple pieces of large architectures and fit them together in a cohesive manner
* An understanding performance impacts of architecture decisions and experience with test suites
* Experience with business process design and analysis especially where
transaction accuracy is critical
* An understanding the application of queuing and workflow management
systems
* An understanding of the unique performance and security design
constraints of service oriented and distributed systems
* Management of the full software development cycle (i.e. requirements
definition through testing/implementation)
* Four or more years development experience using Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/OOD) methodologies in Java/J2EE
* Excellent problem solving and issue resolution skills
* Superb oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with the integration engineering, data management, application teams and sponsors.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively work in team environment with varying skill set levels



Desired Education/Experience
A Masters level degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering including:
* Four or more years experience using technologies in one or more of
the following areas: middleware technologies (e.g. WebSphere MQ, JMS,
WebSphere Interchange Server, Tibco, Vitria, JCA, BizTalk Server) ,
Data Warehousing architectures (Oracle, NCR Terradata) , XML and Web
