IT Support Specialist/Systems Administrator

Our client, a Boston Architect firm is seeking to hire a Systems Administrator to join their IT Team.

In this role the Systems Administrator will be responsible for:

- Maintaining, monitoring, updating and supporting computer workstations in a Windows based environment of about 240 employees.

Experience: Must Have:

- Advanced knowledge of Norton Ghost or a similar product, for developing images

- Designing most efficient ways of deploying these images to update and rotate our desktop systems

- Managing/Maintaining WSUS server for windows updates. Testing and deploying appropriate updates.

- Maintaining our current software and hardware assets with their digital auditing software

- Managing Symantec Enterprise Antivirus console and monitoring to ensure that the desktops are receiving the latest definitions

- Managing the IT mailbox queue and troubleshooting all desktop issues

- Researching and implementing a company wide Helpdesk system

- Advanced knowledge of Group Policies as a tool for automating rapid deployments of msi packages, printers etc.

- Advanced knowledge of login scripts, batching and other automated tools and procedures

- Researching and implementing software deployment and packaging tools.

- Administering the current PBX phone system
