THE ROLE
Function/Dept: Product Management
Position title: Product Manager, CTM
Reports to (title): Director, Product Management
Location: Boston
Provide product management support for CTM and Cross-Border Transaction Products, with the goal of making CTM flagship roduct. Provide day-day client and operational support, lead cross-functional projects as directed by the Manager, Cross-Border Products. Responsible for leading projects through the product development process, supporting the broader product management team as a member of a cross-functional team, and leveraging Integration and Client Solutions (Sales and Account Management), Marketing, Technology and Finance to ensure product meets market and clients' requirements.

Experience: Develop the business cases for product development, enhancement, or change, ensuring that sufficient Voice of Client has been gathered and that business justification is quantified to the extent possible
. Provide support (at times as project lead, and at times as team member) for functional projects (requirements gathering, problem definition and project launch and support planning and execution) to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget
. Work cross-functionally with Technology, Marketing, Client Solutions and Strategic Business Development functions as needed
. Collaborate with other members of the Product Management team to create a work atmosphere of learning and development for all levels of product management
. Learn and champion the OPDS process and achieve a practice-level expertise
. Develop deep functional knowledge of the product set across all applicable market segments and eventually across all products
. Be a contributing member of a team of product managers toward the achievement of both individual and group goals and objectives
. Escalate conflicts between competing priorities by collaboration and negotiation both within the product management group and cross-functionally
. Understand business dynamics and determine where the risks and opportunities lie for specific projects served as lead role
. Take initiative and drive all aspects of projects served as lead in order to meet client requirements and deliver superior client satisfaction while simultaneously providing long-term value for Omgeo

Empowered to determine process followed to resolution for day-to-day product support issues;
Determine which issues warrant escalation and which can be handled at the PM level;
For projects served as lead role, empowered to recommend priorities to Manager, Cross-Border for defects (triage), functionality (requirements), and change controls (enhancements).

Revenue or financial impact decisions;
New/changed functionality;
Outages beyond SLA;
Decisions to bring down test or production environment.

HIRING REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
. Minimum 2 years of working in or with financial services
. Minimum least 5 years of working with business and operational groups as clients, either in a vendor, consulting or internal support role
. Require a thorough understanding and knowledge or financial markets, with a special focus on back office (or post-trade) operations in financial institutions
Competencies:
leadership, teamwork, influence etc.
Functional Skills/Knowledge
. Understanding and technical knowledge of financial markets, with a special focus on back office (post-trade, pre-settlement) operations
. Good balance between business knowledge and technical aptitude (with a bias toward business)
. Ideal candidate has experience as a product manager at a vendor firm supplying technology-based solutions to the Securities industry . Relationship building

Experience Type/Industry
. Minimum 2 years of financial industry experience
. Minimum 5 years experience as product manager bringing products through the software development life-cycle
. Minimum 2 years of working with business and operational groups as clients, either in a vendor, consulting or internal support role
Education/Certifications/Affiliations
. BA/BS degree; MBA encouraged
Travel Requirements
. Minimal - some to other offices and client visits
