Senior Media Producer in Boston, MA

CDI IT Solutions currently has two contract positions for a premier client in Boston, MA for a Senior Media Producer.

Candidate will be responsible for program management and leading the overall development of digital learning products from conception through product release. Involved in integrated planning with Technoloy, Editorial, and Print Production. Manages budgets for and accountable for schedules of products, including CD-ROM, web sites, software, and mixed media products (audio, video, and graphic media). Manages partner and vendor relationships and other outside resources necessary for the development of products.. Manages in-house staff that develops and executes projects. Skills needed include proficiency with XML, Photoshop, MSProject, HTML, CSS, Illustrator, Dreamweaver; excellent communication and managerial skills; proven track record in handling deadlines, program management, and juggling multiple projects simultaneously

Directs media development projects of varying sizes through project managers and production assistants:
Ensures projects are completed on time and according to corporate quality standards
Facilitates communication upward and across project team including project status, justifications for variances and technical information (architecture, design, and implementation objectives)
Serves as a focal point for other departments on project status or other project information
Assesses and assigns in-house development staff
Writes requests for proposals - reviews and accepts as appropriate
Writes and approves contracts
Manages vendors
Manages requests for marketing support, e.g., requests for screen shots, interactive pieces, etc.
Determines annual non-print (technology) requirements and external budget costs
Evaluates annual budget and internal resource requirements for development/production

2. Ensures projects are completed according to product specifications and are properly documented
Implementation of the product satisfies the product specifications
Product implementation is maintainable and extendible to accommodate future development and maintenance (architecture documentation and architecture design review)
Ensures that documentation Gets appropriate level of technical review
support QA test plans meet project requirements
Appropriate development and corporate methods and procedures are followed
Determines conversion guidelines and conveys to production when appropriate
Conducts Post Mortems

Management Responsibilities
Manages project managers and production assistants.
Excellent management skills with proven experience managing media technology projects. Effective time management, communications, decision-making, presentation, human relations and organization skills. Technical and comprehensive knowledge of broad business areas. Proficient PC skills. Experience with XML, Photoshop, MSProject, HTML, CSS, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, FlashMX.
