You will perform duties to provide product training, pre-sale demonstrations and expertise in coordinate measurement, and solving problems for FARO's customers. However, you will be working from a home office, so there is some leeway in the actual location -- Providence, RI or Hartford, CT or even Albany, NY could be potential locations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Conduct training programs for customers. Assemble teaching aids and handouts, and conduct class. Receive and evaluate comments from students, and respond to queries.2. Evaluate customer’s application requirements, when directed. Interpret drawings, CAD data, GD&T and inspection plans in order to prepare necessary documentation and provide application specific assistance and support to customers and the Customer Service Department.3. Communicate directly with customers and assist the Customer Service department regarding any problems arising after installation and resolve any issues adhering to established procedures and utilizing expertise, available tools and other technical personnel as needed.4. Conduct product demonstrations and provide pre-sales technical assistance for potential customers in support of the sales department when directed.5. Receive data from customers including digital photographs, technical drawings, 3D models, inspection plans and parts. Contact customers to clarify requirements and explain next steps in the process.6. Perform MQC services as required. Travel to customer’s facility and provide services as needed, including coordinate measurement or consulting on manufacturing issues.7. Use and test demo parts and new processes. Observe product performance and report results to management personnel8. Recommend changes to training manuals, quick reference guides and other technical documentation, as needed, in support of Sales and Customer Service departments. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, etc. Demonstrated skills in CAD as Solid Works, ProE, etc.Knowledge of GD and TValid Driver's LicenseAbility to speak convincingly in front of groups of people e.g. classroom trainingAbility to travel 50% - 70% of time.
