Professional Services Desktop Support in Boston, MA

Our Professional Services client has an immediate need for a Desktop Support consultant to assist with an increased workload due to numerous members of the IT team are on vacation.

This position will be part of an IT team of 4 people, supporting 200 end users.

Primary responsibilities:
• Respond to telephone calls, e-mail, and personal requests for technical support and resolve issues.
• Support printers, scanners, and PC's
• Document and update procedures and inventory related to Help Desk
• Hardware and software troubleshooting and installations (desktops, laptops, printers)
• Imaging computers with Symantec Ghost and other Imaging Software
• Conference Room setups (Laptop, Hubs, and Projector)
• Communicate with users and co-workers to resolve all issues promptly and professionally

Additional responsibilities include installation, configuration and maintenance of software applications and hardware, ordering of software and hardware, inventory management, management of Internet access and operational tasks such as backups and maintenance of telecommunications systems<br/><br/>All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States. Experience: Required experience:
&#149; 2+ years of experience in computer support related position
&#149; General knowledge of MS Windows XP, MS Office, hardware, desktops, laptops, printers and PDA /Blackberry, peripherals and other PC software applications
&#149; Excellent phone and communication skills
&#149; Ability to learn and retain technology related information
