Programmer Analyst in Boston, MA

An experienced statistical programmer and data manager is needed to perform and coordinate analyses, data management and reporting of clinical, demographic, questionnaire and molecular data. The statistical programmer will work closely with investigators, graduate students and post-docs to understand and help define requirements for given projects. The candidate will work closely in a Project-team environment along with statisticians, informaticians, and data managers, but should be able to work independently to perform and coordinate programming, data management and reporting duties. The candidate will be involved in independently planning and reporting statistical summaries and analyses, design and maintain a library of statistical programs and data sets, and ensure that these programs and data are validated and meet regulatory requirements. Add-hoc analysis of clinical, demographic, questionnaire and molecular data will also be performed. Standardization will be a key factor in being able to efficiently create integrated summaries of data across studies, and in facilitating data mining. The candidate may also be involved in the creation of new tools, databases and processes to improve the efficiency of the division.
