Position DetailsOur client is currently looking for an experienced Director of Content Management and Merchandising Systems to help drive content-related projects and oversee Technical staff. This position requires the ability to direct a variety of diverse ' and sometimes conflicting ' requests, priorities, and activities. Candidate would ideally have experience with project and process management of initiatives that not only encompass technology deliverables, but also close collaboration between functional groups. Candidates will need mature management experience combined with the flexibility to interact with people at all levels.Responsibilities:Managing a content management system for online creative content (eCards, Screen Savers, wallpapers, etc.) and in multiple formats and languages.Manage Search and Web Site Navigation SystemsManage web-based content management delivery system Manage Vendor RelationshipsWork with clients to define new content and merchandising needs, approaches and direction.Define Strategy and Road Map for Content and Merchandising TeamManage the tactical delivery of the technology solutions and provide architectural leadership over those solutionsIdentify and provide appropriate technology staff career paths throughout the organizationBEST INDUSTRY - E-Commerce, InternetBEST DEPARTMENT - Information Systems
Experience: Bachelors Degree is required. Masters Degree is a plus.10+ years experience in software design and web development Demonstrated solid understanding of web-based content management systems and presentation technologies5 years of management experience with a proven track record of managing large teams of technical people is essential in this role.Demonstrated passion for the Internet and the direction it is moving. Understanding of conceptual technical architectureAbility to lead a cross functional team of people in the analysis and selection of new tools or vendors that will help support the content and merchandising functions of the company is required. Mapping out workflows for content lifecycle management processes involving approvals that the platform needs to support.Experience with on-site search systemsExperience managing internal staff and external resources. Excellent team skills: communication, organization, collaboration. Strong Project Management skills are required.Compensation100K - 140K
