Windows Server Architecture Support, Active Directory, VMWare in Boston, MA

Our client is a community-oriented provider of institutional financial services seeking a contract-to-hire resource to support the company as a whole, focusing on build, installation, configuration, maintenance and repair of complex, enterprise-level Windows server architecture. This also includes support and implementation of technologies such as Active Directory, Systems Management Server, VMWare and Citrix. Specific Responsibilities include: Planning and maintaining effective and efficient server architecture, operating systems, printers, remote procedure call, high availability computing, computer security, and computer networking Ensuring functionality of a secure Local Area Network environment in its entirety Mastery of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and other related technologies Interpreting requirements and ensuring that solutions meet those requirements Analysis, architecture, design, build, deployment, operation, monitoring and maintenance of the Windows infrastructure systems Collaborating with team members to develop and successfully implement IT strategies and coherent tactics Continuously re-evaluating IT processes and plans to adjust for new information, changing risks, shifting priorities and schedules Providing vision and direction to improve process reliability, performance and service level agreements Ensuring that the technology platform is appropriately architected, configured, deployed and maintained Ensuring rapid response to application, security, network, telecommunication, desktop, and other operational business issues Working with internal, cross-functional teams and external technology partners to prioritize, estimate and complete projects in support of business needs Generating options and recommendations for the best course of action for both big and small initiatives given time to market, resource availability and other conflicting issues Ensuring that best practices are applied to aspects of production and staging environments Ensuring that platform and operational processes are appropriately documented and related controls are adequately tested Ensuring that the reliability, performance and functionality of system releases meet or exceeds business goals. Mentoring a team of IT professionals Taking ownership of outstanding issues and establishing a high level of credibility with others in the organization Developing and managing relationships with external partners and vendors Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience at a Senior IT Engineer, systems architect level Significant Windows, VMWare, storage technologies and Citrix experience Mastery experience in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP Strong communication and mentoring skills IT planning abilities including project planning, design, working with vendors, configuration planning, deployment, high availability/business continuity and maintenance Bachelor's Degree in CS/MIS OR 10+ years experience within the IT Industry To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
