Interprets business needs and translates them into system requirements. Writes business specifications and forwards to technical staff for system development. Interprets systems specifications to develop, maintain and support automated business processes. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Configures system settings and options, plans and executes acceptance testing, and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. All other duties as assigned. Job Description: We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance Lead Analyst / Tester willing to work on a highly visable Healthcare project in Boston, Massachusetts. An intermediate-level professional, the Quality Assurance Lead Analyst is a fully qualified producer who applies a broad knowledge of systems analysis concepts, practices and procedures. Under minimal guidance, this position directs a team of analysts who carry out procedures to ensure that all products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements. The analyst is competent to work on complex assignments independently if required, and is capable of handling heavy workloads with stringent deadlines All other duties as assigned. STRONGLY Prefer experience in healthcare, medicare, medicaid, MMIS, and/or pharmacy POS. Functional Description: An experienced Business Analyst to perform work of considerable difficulty in the analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of complex mainframe systems. Other tasks may include creating use cases, creating requirement analysis documents, creating detail specification documents, resolving production problems, and developing user acceptance test plans,. Solid understanding of black-box, functional, system, regression and user acceptance testing. Demonstrable experience designing and executing comprehensive test cases Experience documenting defects with systems, and assisting with root cause analysis of complex testing / technical issues. Strong knowledge and experience with performing functional/regression testing, verifying functionality matches the specifications of the functional requirements. Familiarity with QA processes and methodologies including participation in requirements sessions, use case reviews, design meetings, QA task planning, work effort estimations and risk mitigation skills. Ability to communicate clearly in writing, by phone, and in person Proven track record to lead a team of analysts and/or work independently as well as across product teams Must have a “can do” attitude. Desired: Prior Pharmacy experience, US Healthcare experience or Medicaid program policy knowledge. Solid understanding of white-box, performance and automated testing. Proven ability to perform comprehensive data integrity testing. Ability to Write test plans to control the scope and risks for a release. Experience developing and executing automated test suites Experience diagnosing, reporting, tracking and resolving quality issues Experience with QualityCenter, Rational tools and MS Project Knowledge of CMMI life cycle methodologies. Intermediate SQL skills Education and Typical Years Experience Required: A Bachelors degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience 3-5 years experience acting in a Lead capacity, performing software quality assurance testing.
