Program Manager for Testing Practice (top-tier consulting,perm,travel in Boston, MA

Meet with large clients to assess QA/testing needs and provide insights into ways to improve processes and provide consulting services (onshore and offshore). Promote extensive use of automation testing and other up-to-date testing models. Generate project proposals, project plans, and overall vision for work to be done. Manage projects from start to finish. Travel during the week, as needed. Required Skills: MUST HAVE SUBSTANTIAL career experience as a permanent employee with a top tier IT consulting firm (ie, IBM Global, Tata, Bearing Point, Accenture, etc.). MUST HAVE solid combination of QA onshore/offshore project management -and- project business development/sales background with the ability to meet with clients to assess their environments and to close the sale of new projects.Additional Mininum Requirements: At least 12 years of Quality Assurance Consulting, systems integration, software development, or IT experience; at least 5 years in a large consulting environment 5 years of applications testing experience in a leadership role Experience selling new project work to existing or new clients. Quality and Testing Process consulting business development support experience Change management and Risk management expertise Expert with the development of complex performance metrics Expert with the SDLC and common frameworks Deep knowledge of SQA processes and methodologies Hands-on experience with test tools. Familiarity with the following: - Test Management- Test Automation- Performance Testing- Defect Management Strongly prefer prior experience working in an onsite/offshore model Strong test methodology, test strategy and test estimation skills Experience managing and leading large distributed teams Excellent written and oral communications skills- proposal development and presentations Prior experience with sales and pre-sales support Ability to travel 80% including occasional international trips To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
