Job Title: Senior Associate, Technology Job Summary: The Senior Associate, Technology provides technical and thought leadership to the Digital Commerce R&D team by taking responsibility for the WCS track of the team. This includes planning, estimation, track management, issue resolution and quality assurance for proofs of concept, cutting-edge WCS-related R&D efforts and development of reusable code assets. An entrepreneurial mindset and understanding of the Digital Commerce space is essential in the successful candidate. Primary Responsibilities: Deep understanding of OO design Drive mid-level planning exercises with engineers Anticipate issues and risks at the module level and escalate appropriately Write bug-free code. Collaborate with senior-level leadership from the Digital Commerce practice to understand, plan and implement R&D efforts Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required and degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. 5+ years in systems integration and development, package implementation, and/or interactive design. Knowledge of multiple technologies including but not limited to Java, J2EE, CGI, HTML, DHTML, XML, JavaScript, Java, EJB 2.1, PL/SQL Must have: 2+ years of practical WCS Commerce Server implementation experience Understanding of the Digital Commerce technology space Other broad-based technology experience Expertise in any of the following WCS components would be a plus: Sales Center Gift Center Omnifind Management Center Accelerator About Sapient: Sapient, a global services firm, helps clients compete, evolve and grow in an increasingly complex marketplace.
