QA Program Manager in Boston, MA

Our client is seeking an experienced and savvy QA Program Manager. These positions will be based in Hartford, CT, New York, NY and Toronto, Ontario Canada. Position DetailsThe chosen candidate(s) for these positions must possess very strong project management skills with experience managing complex IT projects within an integrated programCandidates must have either financial, insurance and/or retail vertical market experience.Strong leadership skills, with proven ability to provide clear direction to set matrix resources are required.Experienced in use of PM tools to track all aspects of QA projects are essential in this role.QA/Test activities include: • design, develop and execute test strategies/plans• debug and troubleshoot• perform impact gap analysis• coordinate test resources• weekly status reporting• problem resolution and analysis• defect tracking and defect triage activities
Experience: Bachelors Degree is required.10 – 15 years of overall IT experience is required.10 years of consulting industry experience is required. Mid-range to large-scale consulting organizational experience is required.10 years of QA/Testing experience is required.4 years of project budget forecasting and planning of projects of $2 mil or more is required.3 years experience supervising and managing a team of 4 or more direct reports.2 years minimum experience in managing, planning, administering and/or executing Quality Assurance (QA) test activities during all test-related project phases, for one or more IT projects within client Very strong communications skills, verbal, written and interpersonal are essential in this role.Previous C-level communication with business, development, and senior management, on the progress of the Release Period project goals, objectives, and testing efforts is required.Strong presentation skills are mandatory in this role.PMP or PMI certification is highly preferred.Travel of 50% or more will be required.CompensationNegotiable
