DELL PEROT SYSTEMS is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. It is currently looking for a Systems Integration Specialist to join our team in Boston, MA.

Job Responsibilities:
The candidate’s primary responsibility will be the day-to-day Systems administration of the Enterprise wide Microsoft Windows based environment. System Administration functions include but not limited to: day-to-day management of the current implemented data backup solution, new user account creation within the Windows Active Directory architecture, build-out of new Windows 2003/2008 server and racking of hardware, installation of core Microsoft products such as IIS, SQL, development and up-keep of standard operating procedure documentation, management of Windows AD Security Groups, Mail Groups, Distribution Lists, Share and NTFS Permissions as well as line of business application specific requirements.

The position will require interaction with vendors, end-users, Help Desk and other Hospital staff as it relates to their needs for application access requirements. Additional role responsibilities include: maintaining security policy, procedural definitions and processes. The ideal candidate will find ways to increase the operational efficiency by developing ways to streamline existing processes, communicate and document ideas to other team members to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast passed environment.


Required Skills:
Strong background with current versions of Symantec Backup Exec
Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
Understanding of Security Groups, Mail Groups, Distribution Lists
Understanding of Windows NTFS and Share Permissions
Ability to create and maintain documentation
Ability to develop internal processes and procedures
Proficiencies in using Microsoft Excel, Visio and Word
Understanding of HIPAA and other regulatory requirements as it relates to information security
Interacts with end user, departments, vendors and others as required to answer policy and procedure questions related to information security
Effectively manage workload by planning, prioritization and time management
Proficiency with installing Windows 2003 / 2008, racking and installing server class equipment
Background with Dell hardware and the OpenManage suite of vendor tools
Working knowledge of Microsoft DNS / DHCP
Ability to be part of on-call Server Team rotation schedule for after hours support

Desired Skills:
Knowledge and background with Citrix MetaFrame
Knowledge and background with VMWare
Visual Basic scripting or interest in learning Visual Basic
Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL or interest in learning these technologies
Health Care specific industry knowledge(not required but a plus): RCO, Soarian, SoftMed, IDX
Past experience with Remedy based Help Desk ticketing system
Ability to work within established SLA guidelines
Knowledge and background with VMWare

Minimum Educational Requirements:
College Degree or equivalent work experience

Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
Microsoft Certification in one of the following areas: MCSE, MCSA, MCTS, MCDBA preferred
