Summary

The Client Engineer, as part of the Client Services organization, will be responsible for the implementation and support of functionality to enhance and maintain the Third Screen Media Mobile Platform and custom client applications. The Client Engineer must be a motivated team player comfortable in a small fast-paced startup environment.

As in integral member of an account team, the Client Engineer ensures that projects stay on strategy by meeting regularly with internal departments to review work, highlighting issues to team and Director of Ad Operations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Work within Client Services group to develop and deploy customer specific solutions.
• Produce high quality, low maintenance, and scalable solutions for clients and incorporation into platform.
• Conduct QA of upcoming releases to ensure stable deployment.
• Become an expert on use and capabilities of MadX platforms
• Understands clients' business, industry, competitors, key drivers, environment, etc.

Requirements

• Strong background in Java and object oriented development
• Strong background Java Servlets, JSP, Tomcat, and other J2EE technologies
• Strong background with web interface development using HTML, DHTML, Javascript
• Experience building web applications using AJAX a plus
• Experience using struts / MVC frameworks a plus
• Experience with web services a plus. Apache AXIS
• Experience with message oriented architectures a plus. JMS/SOA/ESB
• Good understanding of RDBMS and SQL
• WAP/WML/XHTML and other wireless technologies a plus
• Degree in Computer Science preferred
• Keen interest in mobility space and/or digital advertising/media
• Experience working with Fortune 500 clients is preferred.

J2EE Developer for Production Support

Overview
The purpose of this role is to ensure that we have an intermediary between Application Support and the Development team to help address Production issues as they arise. This person's responsibilities and qualifications will better position the candidate to carry out a number of tasks that will a) further improve the issue-resolution time, b) enable the Development team to focus on releases of upcoming products.

The candidate filling this role will also need to keep abreast of all new functionality as it is developed. To accomplish this, the developer will (1) monitor and troubleshoot issues relating to internal environments that often surface due to deployment issues or cross-department miscommunication, and (2) take "passive" development role by participating in select architecture design review meetings.

We are expecting that the knowledge level this candidate will have regarding J2EE will enable him or her to address most defects required for production patches.

Responsibilities of J2EE Developer for Production Support include:

• Troubleshoot issues escalated by Application Support.
• Involvement in the troubleshooting of builds deployed to inner environments to help familiarize himself/herself with new functionality before deployment to Production.
• Identify common patterns around Production issues and prioritize proposed changes accordingly.
• Monitor and troubleshoot pre-release deployments on internal environments.
• Suggest process improvements to improve issue resolution times and developer awareness regarding resolution support.

J2EE Technical Support Specialist Qualifications:
