Product Design Specialist in Boston, MA

Responsibilities:

You will be exposed to all phases of the development process, with focused responsibilities in functional design for Registration/ADT and insurance verification/compliance. Responsibilities include functional design of system solutions for presented business problems, development of system requirements, development of functional specifications, including aspects of ADT HL7 interfacing, problem-solving of related workflow and application issues. Related responsibilities include conducting peer reviews in support of the design process, interviewing customers, assisting in testing of product releases to validate against specification, reviewing end-user documentation, training internal users (customer support, implementation, education services teams) on application features, and working to set and meet project delivery dates. This position includes the role of team leader, resulting in the following responsibilities: direct the work of other designers on the AM Design team, manage the design schedule and assignments, and advise designers on design solutions.

Qualifications:

The candidate will have either 3+ years experience as a super-user or workflow/domain expert in the Registration/ADT areas of a healthcare organization or software 4+ years application design or support experience in a significant healthcare organization or vendor environment, with a concentration on Registration/ADT.

This person will possess the ability to identify and articulate registration, bed management, and insurance verification/compliance workflows. This person may also possess the ability to identify and articulate Registration/ADT requirements and functional specifications at a detail level. They must have a strong ability to problem-solve. They must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills. The candidate must be able to work in a collaborative team environment as well as able to work independently with little supervision.

This position includes the role of team leader; therefore, this person must be able to direct the work of other designers on the AM Design team, including managing the design schedule and assignments, advising on design solutions, and mentoring design talent.
