Principal Business Systems Analyst in Boston, MA

Our client, a fast growing consulting firm based in Boston's Back Bay, is seeking a senior level Business Systmes Analyst to join their growing IT staff. This is a Senior level postion, reporting to the VP of Technology. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for planning, designing, developing, and launching efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and identify/resolve systems issues. The candidate will lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow. The BSA will analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving/leveraging these systems. The selected candidate will collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications. Experience: *In depth experience with Records and Document Management Solutions - preferably with core applications such as Business Process Management, Thomson Elite, Metastorm, HROffice, or Interaction CRM * Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products * Technical knowledge of SQL programming language *Extensive knowledge in data retrieval and manipulation for reporting using such tools as Crystal reports and MS Access *Proven experience in the operation and analysis of database hardware, software, and standards, as well as data retrieval methodologies *Proven Project Management skills *Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills *Bachelor degree in business administration, computer science, accounting, or management information systems preferred and 5 years related work experience.
