We are looking for a nerd to join our Fundamental Research Department, who will focus on large cap software, IT services and business services companies. Your main responsibilities will encompass a variety of skills. You will research relevant technology companies and make, buy, sell, and hold recommendations to our Portfolio Managers. You will also be accountable for preparing, forecasting and analyzing company trends by reading and scrutinizing company documents and reports; reviewing a company's financial performance and competitive industry placement; interviewing company management; and synthesizing "Street" research.

You will be attending Analyst and Portfolio Management meetings as well as investment conferences, analyst conference calls and company presentations offering your expertise to analyze market sectors and market trends to adequately recommend new companies that should be added to the firm's working list.

If you are a nerd in Boston, or aspire to become one, you will enjoy visiting the MIT Museum of Technology on the weekend. The Boston area was the original High Tech Corridor, with many of the major computer companies located around Route 128. Wang, Digital, Polaroid... Massachusetts has had resurgence in the Internet age. The Regional Scene is a summary of upcoming local events, both educational and social, where the local Nerds can gather and exchange ideas and pleasantries.

Experience: If you think your teacher is tough, wait until you get a boss. He doesn't have tenure. You are no stranger to education with at least your Bachelors Degree. However, a MBA or CFA Charter Holder is strongly preferred. You also have five (5) or more years of equity investment research experience, with a minimum of 3 years experience analyzing technology companies. Previous additional experience in or related to the technology sector is a plus.

You have the ability to read, understand, analyze and interpret complex financial reports with an in depth knowledge of US financial markets and macro economic factors. You have highly developed oral and written communication abilities and good organizational skills with the capability to work on multiple assignments and complete them all satisfactorily and within established deadlines. Most importantly you have a passion for being a Fundamental Research Analyst.

Our client is willing to relocate the right candidate. The salary will be commensurate with your experience, ranging from $150-300k+.
