Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. It is currently looking for a Systems Integration Specialist supporting Wireless Messaging Technologies to join our team in Boston, MA. Job Responsibilities: IS Wireless Messaging Engineer will be responsible for security, day to day administration, trouble-shooting, design, monitoring and maintenance of GOODLINK, BLACKBERRY, and ActiveSync infrastructures. Provide enterprise-wide technical support for handheld mobile devices and related servers, consisting of the following:
  • Maintain centralized inventory control
  • Provide vendor point of contact for ordering new handheld devices and account creation
  • Provide first line call support for handheld devices
  • Perform wireless synchronization handheld devices server monitoring and trouble shooting reported problems with the devices
  • Provide handheld server maintenance, including installing software patches and updates
  • Validate monthly handheld and wireless billing, and coordinate corrections with vendors
  • Test and document new software for wireless synchronization of E-Mail and Calendar functionality
  • Support and assist users in use of Data Mobility devices Will be responsible for the DR (backup and restore) of all systems in this environment and will have to work closely with multiple groups to coordinate the communication of technologies in multiple network environments. Required Skills:
  • A strong working knowledge of multiple wireless devices across all vendors.
  • A minimum of 2+ years experience supporting handheld mobile devices in an executive environment
  • 1 - 2 years experience supporting handheld mobile devices in an executive environment2
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and training skills
  • Experience with Exchange 2003, BLACKBERRY, Goodlink, and MS Activesync Server (preferred) and Client Configurations
  • Good communication with backend mail server administrators is an absolute must
  • Ability to Document and Train end users on technologies supported for all levels problem resolutions Desired Skills:
  • A solid understanding of Exchange 2000, 2003 as well as Blackberry, MS Pocket PC and Palm platforms is preferred Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
