Summary

As a Fixed Income/Derivatives Senior Systems Analyst, you will be the domain expert for fixed income securities/analytics systems. You will be responsible for managing the projects throughout the systems development lifecycle including requirements analysis, functional specifications, systems and integration testing, and documentation. You will also provide ongoing support, problem resolution, and respond to ad hoc requests.



Reports to: Investment Data and Derivative Service Team Leader



Duties/Responsibilities



  • Partner with the Investment Data and Derivative Service business team to define and document new requirements as they relate to Fixed Income specific initiatives


  • Champion the user's needs to the software and quality assurance engineers, insuring the "what" and "why" are effectively communicated

  • Assist in the design, testing, and support of the Fixed Income Analytics application and its integration points


  • Work collaboratively with Information Services and business teams across Investment Systems, Trading, Compliance, Client Administration, and Infrastructure


  • Document, track, and research production issues and work with appropriate teams on the resolution

Experience: Required Background/Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Management Information Systems


  • 7+ years experience as a systems or business analyst


  • Quantitative analysis and research experience within Financial Services or Investment Management


  • Experience writing requirements, functional specifications, use cases, and test plans


  • Proficient at navigating relational databases


  • Experience in writing basic sql commands to query databases and extract data


  • Experience in management of mission-critical production support




Major Pluses to Have



  • Strong understanding of analytics in Fixed Income Securities or Derivatives
