Summary
As Derivative Operations Senior Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for ongoing enhancements and development of our internal systems with vendor applications for Over the Counter Trades settlement outsourcing, which includes Settlements, Trade Communication, Pricing, Position Reconciliation, and other related functions. The Derivative Operations Group will support a growing volume of Over the Counter (OTC) trades. Your team will be aligned with the Derivative Operations Group to support and enable back office outsourcing, Portfolio Management reference data, Trade entry, Confirm Tracking, Confirm Matching, OTC pricing, and settlements. Your career path from this role would either follow as a Project Manager or a Lead Systems Analyst.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Work on the integration with third party systems such as such as MarkIt, DTCC, and SwapsWire
- Work closely with the Derivatives Operations Group on additional internal initiatives and building new tools to support other teams, such as the Derivative team, and lead these initiatives through to implementation
- Create data analysis reports for the Derivative Operations team
- Extract data from our systems and send them out to 3rd-party systems
- Lead weekly meetings with business groups, meetings with vendors, and daily phone calls to business users
- Work closely with the development team as solutions are implemented
- Responsible for assisting with systems testing, deployment, training and support
- Your time will be divided almost equally among Systems Analysis, Implementation, and Support

Experience: Required Background/Experience
- Working knowledge of Derivative Instruments and processing (Swap data flow, interest rate swap, and OTC derivatives knowledge)
- 5+ years of Business Analysis or Systems Analysis experience with a strong ability to extract and document requirements from project stakeholders
- Experience with formal QA practices
- Proficient with SQL and relational databases
- Strong knowledge of back office practices and markets
- Ability to extract requirements from business users and communicate them to technical resources
Major Pluses to have
- Experience working in iterative development environments
