Telecom Analyst in BOSTON, MA

The Telecom Specialist, under direct supervision of the Mgr Network Srv & Voice/Video, is responsible for all aspects of the given voice or video communications system(s). This will include detailed technical knowledge, and well as all administrative or support functions related to the assigned system(s). In general, a specialist will be responsible for a single system, with backup/secondary responsibility for additional systems.

• Development of deep technical understanding of the equipment and communications which make up the assigned primary telecommunications system. This includes maintaining technical training and/or certifications and keeping up to date on the latest features and upgrades available.

• Timely and successful completion of any administrative or user support tasks, such as Helpdesk tickets or directory updates, related to the assign system(s).

• Maintain technical and administrative documentation for all regular update and user support tasks related to the assign system(s).

• Develop training and support documentation for use by others within IT as well as end-users as required.

• 1-3 years experience in an IT or telecommunications-related field, preferably in the professional services industry.
• Superior organization skills and the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities. Experience in a direct end-user support role is a plus.
