Core Technology Scientist in Boston, MA

Responsibilities

This is an opportunity to be on the forefront developing the core technology for a cutting-edge start-up. You'll be part of a world-class team of scientists from MIT and CMU responsible for algorithms that extract meaning from video, and optimize decisions based on that meaning. If you have the relevant experience, and you are truly excited by the idea of leveraging your expertise to build innovative commercial applications, this job is for you.



Requirements

- Expertise in at least one of the following:

- statistical modeling

- signal processing (audio and/or visual)

- machine learning

- data mining

- MS or PhD in Computer Science/Mathematics/Statistics, 3-5 year industry experience

- Excitement to build something new and work aggressively to meet new goals

- Excellent communication skills

- Proficient in Unix/Windows

- US citizenship or permanent resident



A plus

- Working knowledge of J2EE technologies and a RDBM (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle)

- Start-up experience
