Desktop Support Analyst in BOSTON, MA

One of our Professional Services clients has an immediate need for a Desktop Support Specialist.

The Desktop Support Specialist will provide 2nd tier support for hardware calls escalated from the helpdesk.
Major responsibilities include: Perform hardware diagnostics and coordinate repairs in a timely fashion to ensure customer satisfaction; install, test troubleshoot, repair, move, change-out, maintain and upgrade PC’s, laptops, printers and other peripherals; participate in planning, scheduling and executing computer equipment installations, upgrades and replacement projects; responsible for all new hire setups, departures and changes and conference room setups. In addition, the Specialist will familiarize users on basic hardware and peripheral device operations and will follow the proper procedures for the disposal of all hardware and peripherals.

Experience: Requirements: Associates Degree and 1-2 years of related experience in a PC based support role. Solid hardware troubleshooting skills. Must have experience troubleshooting desktop and laptop hardware, HP Laser Jet printers, PDA&#146;s and network connectivity issues. Knowledge of Windows 98/2000/XP and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Ghost image creation software. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a team oriented atmosphere.
