Web Content Writer in Boston, MA

We are looking for someone that has a passion for working on a robust, user-oriented web site for the general public. The web content writer/communications coordinator will work with a small web team to enhance the information flow.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Write and develop content for the web site in collaboration with Marketing and Planning staff, Information Systems staff, clinical staff, and program leaders.

*Guide and support the hospital department web editors in updating pages.
*Update pages on web site using content management system.

*Assist with e-mail campaigns, online advertising, webinars and maintaining events calendars.

*Generate reports on web site statistics.

*Willing to help in all areas to make the web site as wonderful as possible.


QUALIFICATIONS:

*B A/BS Degree in communications, graphic design or related field
*3 years of communications experience, including at least two developing and posting web content in a corporate environment.
*Knowledge of HTML, and web and graphics applications (e.g., Dreamweaver, Photoshop).
Experience: SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

*Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and manage priorities.

*Excellent oral and written communication skills, including writing and editing for publications/web sites.

*Strong interpersonal skills

*Enjoys working independently and as part of the web team.

*Content management system experience a plus.

*Graphic design knowledge a plus.
