Senior Graphic Designer in BOSTON, MA

A top-notch health communications is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer

The Senior Designer will:

•Conceptualize, design, and produce four-color newsletters, magazines and other print products.
•Work with the Editor on art and photo concepts, and on overall design.
•Collaborate with the clients to work meet and understand their needs
•Organize photo shoots, and procure stock photography.
•Using Photoshop and Illustrator to color correct images
•Collaborate to ensure the excellence and integrity of the product while maintaining the budget and schedule. Be accountable for expenditures.
•Managing, Hiring and working with freelance designers as necessary.
•As needed, go on press runs.
•Participate in critiques and be accountable for follow-through on decisions made in critiques.
•Develop and present multiple concepts to clients
•Other responsibilities as needed.
Experience: •Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design; or field experience
•6+ years experience in the field of graphic design
•Mastery of InDesign and/or QuarkXpress, Photoshop (required) and Illustrator
•Experience mentoring designers, helping jr. designers to manage their time and solve conflicts.
•Familiarity with art directing photographers and illustrators as well as working with stock agencies
•Experience in managing budgets and meet deadlines
•Excellent understanding of printing processes
•Excellent communication skills
