Our client has an immediate opening for a Web Developer with a strong Java and Servlets background. You will be responsible for the maintenance and ongoing enhancements to their corporate Intranet site. This site was designed to support the organizations goals relative to internal communications and is the main portal to the companys business information systems. The site was developed with the following technologies: Flash, HTML, JSP, XML, JAVA and Servlets. This position is responsible for the overall integrity of the site, timeliness of content updates and selection and implementation of monitoring software for overall statistics on the site. Implement changes required bringing consistency in look and feel to all pages replacing Flash with HTML and development of Java applications. Customizations to the site will be the responsibility of this position to build, test and deploy. Monitor web site for acceptable performance and user accessibility. Assist in development and implementation of processes to manage site content in automated, user friendly manner. Assure that version control, archiving, and ongoing enhancements are in compliance with company standards.

Requirements:

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years experience in a comparable role and expertise in commercial web site management. Excellent communication and project management skills required along with business experience working on web-based applications. Expertise in HTML, JSP, Java, Servlets, as well as generalized web site construction and general Flash knowledge required. Ideal candidate should have experience working with both technical and non technical staff, facilitating the capacity to translate user requirements into technical solutions that meet the guidelines established for the corporate site.
