IPT Engineer in Boston, MA

My client is currently looking for an IPT engineer to work on a temp-to-perm basis in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities include:
As a Help Desk NOC Technician you will have a primary focus on AVVID, WAN and NOS technology. You will be assigned service calls by a CDA (Call Desk Agent). You are required to work these service calls to a resolution, prioritizing the work by their CDA assigned priority, within SLA (Service Level Agreement) time frames. You are required to escalate service calls with a CDA (the call owner if available), when a service call is not going to be resolved within SLA. All Help Desk NOC Technicians have to be pro-active in assisting each other, providing cross-training, and providing input to the development of people, processes and Uptime operations. When an on-site solution is required, work with the call Owner to dispatch a part and / or Field NOC Technician.

Supported products include: Vendor Product Lines Cisco Access Products Content Networking (Network infrastructure) IPCC Routing and Switching Optical Platforms Security Devices IP Telephony Cisco ICM Cisco ISN CISCO IPCC Enterprise Wireless LANs Nortel Access Products Routing and Switching VPN Checkpoint Firewall-1 VPN-1 Nokia Firewalls Adtran CSU/DSU ATM Broadband Products TDM Multiplexer Kentrox CSU/DSU Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting IP Internet working equipment in a vendor environment.
Must have Cisco Certification, CCNA, prefer CCNP.
Good team-working skills in an Operations Center environment.
Ability to converse verbally and in writing with customers and employees.
