The successful candidate will need to have exceptional communication skills in order to effectively drive the the firm?s offshore development team of 10+ people to implement high-quality deliverables in short timeframes; for multiple, simultaneous projects. He/she will be involved in many phases of the product lifecycle including requirements definition, design, development, qc, rollout and maintenance.
Specific Responsibilities, include, but are not limited to:
- Understand Product/Project requirements.
- Convert requirements into use cases.
- Detail technical design of solutions alongside other RTI team members.
- TDD and MDD documentation.
- Communicate technical design to offshore team during offshore local hours (8AM - 11AM).
- Communicate with the on-shore stakeholders during on-shore hours (10AM - 6PM).
- Review of offshore builds, code and documentation provide feedback back to offshore team.
- Review of test cases and test scripts.
- Direct maintenance and support for the projects on a ongoing basis.
Specific Experience or Background Required:
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on client/server or web development experience.
- 2+ years of technical design experience.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey complex requirements and design issues to offsite team members is a must.
- Prior development management and leadership preferred.
- Java and Microsoft development experience preferred.
- Familiar with Webservices API development preferred.
- Familiar with offshore development culture, standards and processes in India is preferred
